LSTAR Webinar Series re: London-Middlesex Needs At Least 40,000 New Homes in the Decade to Ensure Attainability with Mike Moffatt
In this webinar, we will explain what is causing these housing shortages in Ontario and what it means for London.

Ontario needs to build 1.5 million homes in the next ten years to meet growing demand, with at least 39,500 of those homes required in the City of London and Middlesex County. During the 2022 election campaign, all four major provincial parties committed to the goal of building 1.5 million new homes over the next decade. In the GTA, a growing number of families will 'drive until they qualify' to other communities in Ontario, like London, to find attainable housing that meets their needs. How can London and surrounding municipalities meet and benefit from these demands? We need a serious plan to address housing shortages and set this region up to reap the economic advantages of relocations from other regions, while maintaining the quality of life and affordability residents value.
